As a mum of twins who have flown the nest, and a career spanning almost 25 years in education, Lisa, the founder of Flourish, felt it was time to turn her creative flare into something new.
She took herself to her local flower market, where she diligently researched, designed and educated herself in the floristry business. Her dream was to put a little of her passion into every flower arrangement, and offer something created lovingly enough that it would keep people coming back for more.
Flourish was then born – and, true to its name, took on a life of its very own. To say it’s been a labour of love would be an understatement.
With countless early starts, late nights, masses of social media posts and endless attempts to build a strong portfolio and reputation, Lisa describes Flourish as being the most tiring, yet happiest and most fulfilling time of her life (second only to raising her girls!). Flourish brings her a job satisfaction like she has never known, which comes from the dedication she pours into her work.
Lisa’s passion for flowers and people has only gathered momentum and energy, and at Flourish, we are truly grateful to every single customer, and to every single element of support we have been lucky enough to receive. Over the years, we have built relationships with local growers and wholesalers so that it has become possible to source the very best stems on the market. Using locally grown and British flowers is hugely important to us at Flourish, and we try to source them whenever we can.

From our wedding couples, to our workshop guests and to the families who have trusted us to provide farewell flowers, as well as those just wanting a “little something” from our Honesty Box, we can truly say that every arrangement has been made with love and care – and long may it continue.
